Glencoe Ski area (also known as Glencoe Mountain or the White Corries ski centre), near Glencoe, Highland, is the oldest ski area in Scotland. The ski area has seven lifts on Meall a' Bhuiridh, which serve a variety of ski runs.
The car parking area lies below the normal snow line, so the skiing is reached via a low level access chair lift, although it is occasionally possible to ski all the way down to the car park. The access chair lift also runs in summer for tourists and walkers.
The ski centre is located on a very isolated stretch of the A82 amongst some of the most dramatic scenery in the UK, roughly 15 miles (24 km) from Glencoe village. Public transport is infrequent and the ski centre is around 1km from the main road. It is possible to do a day trip by bus from Glasgow (to the ski road end).
Accommodation is available in the nearby villages of Glencoe and Ballachulish.
